Amaka Ibeji is a seasoned digital trust leader and one of Africa’s foremost voices in AI governance and data protection compliance. With over 15 years of experience in privacy engineering, cybersecurity, and responsible data use, Amaka brings deep technical expertise and visionary leadership to every space she steps into.

She holds several top-tier global certifications, including AIGP, CIPM, CIPP/E, CISSP, CISA, and CISM — testament to her breadth and depth in digital governance.

Amaka is the founder of PALS Hub, a digital trust and assurance company where she mentors professionals and advises organizations on privacy and AI governance. She also established the DPO Africa Network, a fast-growing initiative supporting and empowering Data Protection Officers across the continent.

Her career includes impactful roles at Microsoft, Deloitte, Cruise LLC, and UBA, where she shaped AI strategies, built privacy controls, and led cross-functional product teams. She’s a faculty member with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Digital Directors Network, helping shape global conversations around trust and emerging technologies.

Through her weekly “Digital Trust for African Boards” column in BusinessDay Online, Amaka champions responsible innovation and board-level awareness of digital risks and opportunities. She’s also an active podcaster and speaker, passionate about demystifying digital governance for African audiences.
